About
Carlson Architects helps homeowners navigate the early decisions that shape a successful residential project, from feasibility and scope through design, permitting, and construction support.

The practice focuses on thoughtful, practical solutions for existing homes, with an emphasis on clarity, careful planning, and design that responds to the way people actually live.
Keith Carlson holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc, and is a licensed architect in both Connecticut and New York.
Keith also brings experience serving as an owner’s representative on projects for organizations including DHS and LA Fitness. That experience informs a practical, owner-focused approach to residential work, with an emphasis on communication, coordination, and guiding projects in the client’s best interest.
The work begins by understanding the home, the goals of the project, and the constraints that will shape it. From there, Carlson Architects helps homeowners define scope, evaluate options, and move toward a clearer, more informed plan.
“Keith Carlson understood my vision from the very beginning and was committed to bringing it to life. He was thoughtful, professional, and a pleasure to work with, and I was thrilled with the final result.”
